How we keep it fair.
These apply on the Minecraft server and in Discord alike.
The short version

- Staff calls stand. Appeal privately, not in public chat.

Staff & moderation

- Follow reasonable instructions from staff.
- Don't interfere with moderation.
- Don't attempt to evade punishments.
- Don't impersonate staff.
- Don't threaten staff over moderation decisions.
Disagree with a punishment? Use the appeal process, not a public argument.
Punishments & enforcement
Breaking the rules can result in moderation action, scaled to fit the situation:
Warning → Mute → Kick → Temporary ban → Permanent ban
Severe violations can mean immediate punishment with no warning first. Severity increases for:
- Repeated offences
- Evasion of previous punishments
- Coordinated rule breaking
- Severe harassment
- Cheating or exploitation
- Threats or malicious behaviour
- Attempts to damage the server or community
Punishments are handled based on severity, context and history. This mirrors the enforcement terms in our Terms of Service.
Use common sense
Not everything fits a numbered rule. Technically following the wording of a rule while clearly abusing its intent still counts as breaking it.
Don't go looking for loopholes. These rules exist to protect the community, not to give anyone a rules-lawyering game to win.
Acknowledgement
By taking part in the Algorithm OasisMC Discord or Minecraft server, you agree that you have read, understood and will follow these rules. Not knowing the rules doesn't excuse breaking them.
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Be respectful, play fairly, and help build a community worth being part of.
